A Fund Raising Tea Pary
How is the TALKING NEWSPAPER funded?

CVTN is a FREE service to blind and partially sighted people. Royal Mail distributes the memory sticks and CDs free of charge.

As a registered charity, we have been grateful for financial support from many quarters over the 10-year history of the service. The Barnwood Trust and the Lions were major contributors to the original studio and technical set-up costs. We were one of the first beneficiaries of the Gannet Foundation in the Gloucestershire Gazette area.

The switch from CD to memory sticks has been generously supported by the The Midcounties Cooperative Society.

For day to day running costs we are dependent on support from County, District, Town and Parish Councils.

We also undertake our own fund-raising and awareness-raising activities, such as prize draws, regular street collections, concerts and other public events.

We are always pleased to receive individual personal donations, however large or small.
